YOU ARE GOD’S PRESENT TO THIS WORLD
When God finished the work of creation he discovered that everything that he had made would be a waste if they were not entrusted to someone to manage. He looked at all that he had created there was none to entrust the earth to, and then he decided to make man.
He made man in His own image, after his own likeness and he breathed his spirit into the lifeless body of man and he became a living soul.
God did not stop at that he put man in charge of everything that he had created. He made man the crowning glory of all his creation and gave him power to rule the earth. This makes man the manager of God’s resources on earth.
God also knew that the earth will be uncoordinated if there was no man to take charge. That is the reason why the Bible says that He is mindful of you and has made you to have dominion over the works of his hand.
Hear what the Bible says:
“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man,that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
(Ps 8:6-9)
You see, man became the crowning glory of all his creation. The implication of this is that the earth would be a waste if there were no man to man it. Creation will be meaningless without someone in charge and you are that man, you are that woman. Imagine, even, the animals will have to answer the names given to them by man. They have no options. Man is a gift to this world.
When the Bible talks about man you were the ones being referred to. The world will not be complete without you. With you in charge as God ordained it, the world will be a better place to live in.
The Bible says,
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”
(James 1:17)
What this portends for us today is that as a man you are God’s present to this world. From the time that you are a child, God gave you to this world as a gift. He also gave you to your parents as a blessing.
The Bible says:
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”
(Ps 127:3-5)
God made you to rule here on earth. “The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.” (Ps 110:2) He did not make you a failure irrespective of your socio-ethnic and cultural background, color or race. He made you a success from the beginning. He has deposited in you every potential you need to be successful in this life.
There is a seed of greatness in you. You are not just anybody. You are not an accident of procreation. You are somebody very important because you are dear to the heart of God.
So important are you to God that He gave his only begotten Son to die in your place. When Jesus came, he restores the life that you and I lost in Adam. He made a champion out of our lives.
You see the reason my brother and sister why you cannot fail? There is something unique and peculiar about your life. This makes you different from every other person on earth.
“Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
(1 Peter 2:9-10)
