A man by the name Thomas Edison was sent home from school by his teacher for the simple reason that he cannot cope with education. His teacher said he had an “addled” mind. I learned that his mother taught him how to read and write. This was because the authority has spoken that Edison does not have what it takes to complete a primary education. This could have had a great negative effect on a young child of his age.
However, he was not deterred and discouraged by what the teacher have told him. He knew inside of him there was a treasure waiting to be mined. So he exploited the treasure within to achieve what the experts of his days said in 1878 newspapers and magazines cannot be achieved. What did the experts said? They said, “Electric lights are unworthy of serious attention”, but Thomas Edison proved the experts wrong and gave the world the first practical electric light. He dare to do the “impossible”. This is what makes me know that even experts can be wrong sometimes.
In 1901, some experts also said “No possible combination can be united into a practical machine by which men can fly” but the Wright Brothers proved them wrong. Mining the treasure within they invented the first practical machine that can fly in the air. They gave the world the first practical airplane.
The Wright Brothers believed that they have what it takes to accomplish their destiny and dare the voice of the experts. They have discovered that achievement does not come in “I can’t”. Achievement only comes in “I can”. Impossibility is no more in their dictionary. They have believed the words of Jesus that says “all things are possible to him that believed.”
You see, what I am trying to get across to you here is that you have what it takes to accomplish your destiny in life. The resources to accomplish your purpose on this earth have all been deposited in you by God. You only need to look inside of you to find it.
The Bible says:
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us”
(2 Cor 4:7)
The treasure you are looking for is in an earthen vessel. You are that vessel. You do not need to look too far to get what you want. That money, that business, that job you are looking for is not far away from you. It all depends upon what and where you are looking at.
The Bible also says:
“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.”
(Matt 12:35)
What you have in your heart is what you will bring forth. If you have success in your heart, that is what you will bring forth but if what you have in your heart are failure, frustration, sickness, disease, and disappointment, that is the very thing you will bring forth. Failure or success begins right in the mind of a man. So, keep good treasures in your heart daily so that you can fulfill your destiny.
Proverbs 15:6 says that:
“In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
Beloved, these treasures are only waiting for you to find them. Why don’t you begin your search today? Why wait until tomorrow? People who wait for tomorrow always wake up too late. Discover the treasure in your earthen suite.
Hear what King Solomon says:
“I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things…”
(Eccl 7:25)
In Proverbs 25:2 it says:
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
You are a king on this earth, God’s precious gift to the world. It is written’ “Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” (Rev 1:5b-6) It is your duty to search out a matter. Look for the answer to that problem confronting you on the inside of you and not on the outside of you. There is always a solution to every problems of your life. Take your time and make some search you will discover this is true. When “experts” says it cannot be done what do you believe and what do you say.
So many people have jeopardized their destiny because somebody told them they cannot do it and they resigned to fate. They sacrifice their destiny on the altar of what somebody have said simply because they are professionals. These are the days to start attempting the “impossible” because you have the capacity to accomplish great things in this life if you believe.
Listen to me, If Thomas Edison and the Wright Brother have resigned to fate the world will still be in darkness today and there would be no airplanes transportation to move from one country to another.
If Madame Schumann-Heink has listened to her music teacher that she cannot sing and that her voice is bad when she was young, she would not have become one of the great opera stars of all time. She would have resigned herself to becoming what her music teacher recommended for her – a tailor, and not accomplish her purpose on earth. That is the reason I told you that if you will mine the treasure within you, you could accomplish your destiny and fulfill your purpose on this earth.
See what Jesus compared the Kingdom of Heaven with in the Bible:
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” (Matt 13:44)
Why would the man buy this field? Why would he have to sell all that he had? It is because of the treasure he found on it. He was willing to pay any price to obtain this treasure land. Beloved, your treasure land is not far from you. That Talent that God has given you must not be neglected. God gave it to you as a gift and a blessing to the world.
