Motivation the Cure For Procrastination

By Victor Usifo

This fifteen letter long word has amongst many factors been the worst cause of mediocrity, indolence and lack of aspiration attributed to a lot of people in our planet.
This long word hinders many people from achieving anything worthwhile in this life. As a result of this setback, they are unable to archive meaningful objectives mainly because they refuse to take action.
They make it a habit to put things they ought to do immediately off, as long as they could hoping to tackle the job or assignment at a more favourable time in the future which of course, we all know never really comes.
So days turns into weeks, and weeks into months,and months into years but the person remains in the grip of this habit. This process continues until this habit forms in stone and becomes difficult to break.
The word gains a stranglehold on the neck of its captive, as it totally saps their will to act on anything meaningful. It then renders them incapable of initiating and completing any project no matter how easy the task my be.

* Motivation enters
At this stage the need of the captive is for a quick solution that will free the person to enable him or her live a fulfilled life once again.
Because every action that has a beginning, must of a necessity have an end, motivation with less number of letters, but with a better sound to the ears comes to the rescue. And all the captive needed to do was to reach out for it in solace, against the total powerlessness they once felt in the vice like grip of procrastination.
* How does motivation tackle procrastination?
Motivation does this simply by appealing to the emotion of the captive to get him or her interested in a vocation, an assignment, a business proposal, a talent discovery or a hobby etc.
Motivation keeps the captive engaged in this new found love until the captive is totally consumed by this new love.
This sudden development of this new habit by the captive, now creates a reawakening of his hitherto dead senses to try and live a purpose driven life.
As the captive comes to terms with the reality of its confinement and attempts to shake itself of the yoke of procrastination to wear the mantle of motivation, the death knell of procrastination is rung.
* Enter passion
Complete commitment and passion for the new way of life, comes to a peak and the song of freedom reaches a crescendo as passion over runs procrastination. The captive soon announces its arrival on the scene to the world which hitherto never knew or heard about that person.
As motivation fuels passion, the captive regains all lost glory and the person now rules his world, his confidence grows leading to a bold declaration of his independence for ever.
* Freedom expressed
The captive now restored, motivated and empowered, launches out in its new found vocation or assignment declaring liberty,excellence and freedom at last.
Having won this battle the captive becomes a lethal weapon and a spokes person against the cancer called procrastination. A war the freed captive continues to wage in total commitment to excellence and productivity in his new name called, passion.
Yours in success,
