YOU NEED INFORMATION
Once you have discovered your talents you need to take advantage of the information that are available in the area where you are gifted. God said in Hos 4:6 that “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” You need to educate yourself more about your talent or God’s giving ability in your life.
You need to read books and magazines that talk about your talent and how to develop them. Read books like the one you are reading now. Take advantage of the library’s service that is available around you.
There was a time in the life of Henry Ford that he became so obsessed with his dream of producing a faster car using petrol at a time when this was not popular that he began to read many scientific books and magazines that he could lay his hands upon especially as it relates to his field of endeavor. This makes up for his few years of formal education. So much were said in the magazines that really had a great influence on the thinking of Henry Ford and motivated him to do the exploit that he did in the automobile world.
Henry Ford did not read more than primary education yet he disciplines himself to study privately. This is called self-education and it required a degree of self-discipline. He source for the information that brought about reformation into his life and affect positively the thinking of his generation in a practical manner.
Today you have a better chance than Henry Ford because of the avalanche of information that you and I can lay hand upon today which was not available in their time.
Above all, read your bible daily and hear what God will say to you about this matter. God is the ultimate source of all the information that you need in this world. You cannot listen to God’s word and remain the same in this life. His Word is life to those that found it.
Information is power; an asset that can help you to overcome uncertainty and open new doors for opportunity to come into your life.
Success in life depends on what you know and how well you can apply what you have learned. With the right information, your talent can gain an important edge in today's competitive society.
Information is the key to reformation and the unlocking of your potential talent. There are so many of this type of information around today especially now that the world has become a global village. They say that this is the age of information. This is reason the world is talking about information technology today. It is what you know about your talent and applied that count. Get the type of information that inspire and motivate you into action.
Stop sitting down waiting for opportunity to come and meet you where you are. Explore the potential power of your talent to create opportunity for yourself. Make a demand on the resources within you. There are no materials for failure in your life.

Your talent is a functional composite and part of your destiny framework. I have discovered that most of the successful people the world over have only taken chance to explore the opportunities presented by their own special and dominant talent and also take steps to achieve the goals they have set for themselves in life.
Make your own opportunities if none comes your way. The measures of a man’s character is not in what he says, it is in what he does with what he has. Make that move today. Do not be afraid. I know that you can always succeed.
TALK TO PEOPLE EXPERIENCED IN YOUR TALENT’S AREA
An ancient sage, Zenrin said, “If you want to know the road up the mountain, ask the person who goes back and forth on it.” In trying to develop your talent, you can also talk to people who are already successful and are functioning well in the area where you found that you are talented. Let them educate you. They are more experienced than you are. Read their books. Great minds always communicate to one another. You can always learn from their experience and built on what you have learned to further develop yourself in doing what you know to do best. This is one of the secrets to success in life.
This also applies to all fields of endeavor man want to attempt in life. It is like saying that you want to be a successful veterinary doctor or surgeon because that is the area of your talent. You like working with animals. You can talk to doctors who specialize in the field of your particular studies. They will be glad to share what they know with you. The knowledge you will gain from such quarters is such that you cannot gain from normal school education and it will help equip you for a great future that is ahead of you. There are people for instance, who loved working with children naturally. Look around you there are people into such ventures already that you can talk to about their field. Some of them are running Day Care Center and normal children schools like nursery and primary school while some of them work in the government establishment. They will give you practical information that can change your life until eternity comes. Your perspectives of what you know in theory will become more broaden that you want to start your own immediately but wait and get more trained before you take off.
I remember that personally, I love the printing business but I am pastor of a church and my knowledge about printing was still shallow even though I had worked in such industry some years back. When I went back to school for my Master’s degree course in the area of my calling and giftedness, I discover that I had to do something to keep myself busy. Therefore, I got a friend who put me through the rudiment of printing again. He taught me all those things that I had forgotten and I began to do it for commercial purpose and make some money thereby. This became a part-time job for me and is helping my ministry today.

GET A COACH OR A TRAINER
Jesus said,
"A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.”
(Luke 6:40, NASU)
Developing your talent will also require that you get a coach or a trainer. The training for the development of your talent is your business. Once you have discover that talent that you want to develop into strength then put yourself under a coach or a trainer to help guide you in the way that talent should be develop to achieve maximum benefit for you and the people that your talent is designed to bless.
I once saw a sister in my church. She loved children and had teaching ability but she had no job. I told her to handle our children department and she obliged. Then there was an opportunity for a job in a private school. I quickly enlisted her name as a candidate for employment in that school. All the experiences she had in teaching children were gotten in the church and then in this school. As at the time I am writing this book she had finished her Grade II teacher training school and she is now doing her NCE program. This is to further develop what was within her; by this, I mean her visible talent. She is now working in a public school earning better than when she was in a private school and she had job security.
My dear readers, whatever you have in you will require a trainer or coach. That is the reason you see sport men and women going for trainer to train them from time to time to enhance the quality of their sporting ability else they will become ‘a use to be’ in their chosen field of sport.
Now listen to me, if you have a musical voice that you want to develop then you need to get a music teacher and let him or her train you further in the art of singing. If you find that you have discover a skill for playing the piano in yourself then for Christ sake don’t let that talent die in you. Get a teacher to give you more training in the things that you know to do best. If you love writing then get a tutor to train you in the art of writing to further enhance what you already have in you. You can also do this by finding the kind of job that you enjoy doing. There are jobs that suite what you are best gifted for that will enhance the quality of your talent. For instance, a writer loves to write, an artist loves to work with paint, and an artisan loves to work with his hand.
Abraham is my brother. He is very good in artisanship work. I sported this early in him, encouraged him to get further trained in this, and he did. Today he is into clothing design and decorating business of his own doing very well. He is not looking for job. It is job looking for him. The truth in this is that once your talent is sufficiently developed you will not be the person looking for job; jobs will naturally be looking for you because people will be making demand on your talent, and by implication, this means money for you.
School leavers whether graduate or college students should understand that there are many opportunities out there waiting for them. Besides your school or college education, you should also beckon on the inner resources that God has given you to better improve your life. Discover your talent and develop them into strength. The world is waiting for what you have that thing that your life contained should become an asset to your generation. Do not die with it. This generation cannot afford to lose what you have gotten inside of you.
